American Tribe
A feature documentary, book and transmedia ecosystem on 250 years of institutional design against critical thinking. In development, open to film funds, producers and impact investors.
A thesis that disarms the easy insult
Billions of people live exposed to US politics, culture and gun violence. The easy answer is that its 335 million people are ignorant. American Tribe argues the opposite: a school and media architecture, built over two centuries, discourages doubt. Every claim is traced to its primary source.
The problem isn't the people. It's the design.
One project, three formats
Documentary
A 90-minute feature or 4-episode series. A deconstructed-archive look: 16mm educational films (Prelinger Archives) treated as a forensic file, with motion graphics and a narrator speaking straight to camera.
Book
Eight chronological acts, from the founding myth and the Prussian school model to Bernays, Hollywood and militarism, with a verifiable critical apparatus.
Digital ecosystem
Weekly vertical shorts, serialized publishing on Substack and Patreon, and partnerships with media literacy networks and festivals.
Why now, and why it works
International audiences want explanations, not insults. The project pairs academic rigor with a mentoring tone.
Built-in audience
A short-video channel, newsletter and paid community validate demand before production.
Lower risk
Funded in stages: each phase delivers something that can be evaluated.
Open market
A political-historical documentary with a life in festivals, platforms, education and institutional licensing.
The funding proposal
Three stages, each with a verifiable deliverable. Co-production, grants, rights pre-sales and investment are all welcome.
Development
Script, archival research, treatment and teaser. Deliverable: pitch dossier and audio pilot.
Production
Shooting, archive rights, interviews and motion graphics. Deliverable: edited material for the first half.
Post-production and launch
Editing, sound, color, subtitles in four languages, and a festival and distribution strategy.
